Welcome to Her Serenity a safe, empowering space for women ready to rise from life’s hardest seasons.

Whether you’re navigating the aftermath of narcissistic or domestic abuse, heartbreak, divorce, toxic relationships, leadership burnout or motherhood overwhelm, you are not alone and you don’t have to heal alone.

Her Serenity was born from a deep belief that every woman deserves to feel safe, seen and supported as she rebuilds:

HER self-worth

HER confidence

HER inner peace

Our work is rooted in trauma-informed principles, lived experience and compassion. We understand that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, it’s personal, practical, and transformative.

We work with women in all walks of life from single mums reclaiming their freedom, to women in leadership and business rediscovering their voice. We also partner with organisations and schools to create trauma-informed spaces that understand and support women, families and staff affected by domestic abuse.

Meet the Founder

Anita is a trained ICF and CPD accredited Somatic Trauma Informed Coach specialising in Narcissistic Abuse. With a BSc in Psychology and Education. She is passionate about empowering women to heal, reclaim their confidence and rebuild their lives both personally and professionally.

With over 12 years in education and 4 years as a qualified career coach, Anita brings a unique perspective to her work. She understands firsthand how women often carry trauma silently at home, at work, or in leadership roles while still showing up and keeping the wheels turning. She knows how exhausting it can be to juggle past hurts, high-pressure environments, motherhood and career responsibilities and how much more impactful it is when trauma is recognised and addressed.

Anita is the heart behind Her Serenity, a space for women healing from narcissistic and domestic abuse, heartbreak and trauma. As a single mother, she knows what it’s like to feel exhausted, gaslit and emotionally drained, yet still need to show up fully for your children, career and life. Her work is deeply rooted in lived experience, combined with evidence-based methods and coaching expertise.

Drawing on both her personal journey and professional training, Anita works with women including leaders, business owners and ambitious professionals

Her coaching blends trauma-informed methods with career and business insight, helping women not only heal from past wounds but also thrive in their work and leadership roles. Through 1:1 sessions, structured programs and practical resources, Anita equips her clients with the tools, confidence, and clarity to move forward with intention, empowerment, and self-trust.

In addition to her client work, Anita is a proud brand partner of The Mental Wellbeing Company, delivering CPD-accredited trauma-informed training for schools, parents, and organisations. She helps create emotionally safe workplaces and learning environments where trauma is understood, and women and children are supported.

At the core of Anita’s work is a simple belief:

healing is possible, and every woman deserves to live a life rooted in inner peace, confidence and authentic freedom both at home and in her professional life.

My Story

No one and I mean no one gets married thinking they’ll get divorced and no one plans a family just to do it alone. Divorce was never in my vocabulary and becoming a single parent was never part of the plan. This era of my life… I never saw coming.

Marriage to me meant forever, for better for worse, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part. Family meant two parents raising their child or children together, celebrating their successes together, going on holidays together, attending school events together and family events together. But life took a toll, trials and tribulations tested me and looking back it’s exactly what I needed to be able to break free and accept that life has other plans for me.

My healing journey hasn’t been easy, because when is healing ever actually easy? If it was, wouldn’t we all invest time and energy into recovery from past traumas? Traumas that we never asked for nor deserved.

Leaving a toxic, abusive relationship was devastating. The aftermath, post-separation abuse, family court battles and co-parenting with someone impossible to co-parent with tested me in ways I could never have imagined. I lost myself: my confidence, my identity, my self-worth. I was anxious, overwhelmed and exhausted. My body and mind were in survival mode, stuck in a trauma response that I didn’t yet understand.

I know what it’s like to feel like you’ve been through it all to have your heart broken, your trust betrayed and your life completely upended. I’ve been the woman who carried trauma silently, who showed up at work in leadership roles while feeling shattered inside and who wondered if she’d ever feel whole again.

I delayed my healing journey… not intentionally. There was a lack of education on healing and abuse when I left, so I just continued with life. I carried so much shame and hurt. The toughest pill to swallow was that I had been in a domestic abusive relationship. Being a good mother while my world fell apart was the hardest role I’ve ever had to play. A role that tested my strength and resilience in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

Her Serenity exists to change that. I support women especially those who’ve been through it all, to heal from trauma, rebuild their confidence, reclaim their self-worth, and navigate life with clarity and resilience. I draw on my own lived experience, my trauma-informed coaching expertise and my professional background in career and business coaching to help women not only recover but thrive at home, in leadership and in their professional lives.

I understand how scary it is to step into the unknown, especially with children, and how it feels to lose yourself completely. But I also believe, with the right support, you can rise again, stronger, calmer, and more empowered than ever.

So, here I am part of the change, supporting women, educating women and empowering women to live life authentically, heal from trauma, rebuild their lives and navigate life with confidence and authenticity. Her Serenity was created to raise awareness of abuse, the impact it has on a woman's mental health and the hidden scars it leaves on one’s soul. I don’t want you to be alone in your journey. I want you to know that support is available.

It’s scary to stay in a relationship that has become toxic, suffocating and full of broken promises and I understand it is equally scary to venture into the unknown especially when you have children. It feels like you’ve hit rock bottom and the storm has knocked you down.

But I believe in you, I believe with the right support you can get back up again even amidst life’s storms.
